What you’ll do & Who you are
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Premium Team and support the team's developers!
The Premium Team is the team responsible for the purchase of options linked to ads (deposit and visibility). It's a team of 8/9 people with different backgrounds (backend, frontend, Android, iOS and QA developers).
Its role is to :
Manage the purchase process for options on advertisements
Monitor the health of production using the indicators/metrics implemented by the team
Contribute to and steer the technical choices for implementing functionalities
Work on the performance of the team's scope
Ensuring that the team's roadmap is properly implemented, in collaboration with the Product Manager
You will be responsible for :
Managing the team :
- Ensuring that the team has a shared vision and a common goal
- Help your team to grow into a mature, effective, self-organised and autonomous team
- Foster team spirit, commitment and intrinsic motivation (happiness, sense of achievement)
- Act as an individual coach for each member of the team, helping them to grow in their current and future jobs
- Coach the team and help it to grow
- Ensuring that the team is properly integrated into its environment: tribe, chapter, LBC
- Ensure that all developers have the environment they need to do their job as well as possible
- In collaboration with HR and the Recruiter, manage leave, EAE/EMA, bonuses, team and individual training and help build and develop the career plans of team members, supporting them in finding ways to develop the skills (technical or human) they need for their work.
Communicating :
- In the event of difficulties, communicating with your team and other teams to help them resolve them.
- Provide visibility of the team's work outside the team (synchro meetings, reporting, etc.).
- Exchange and synchronise with guild leads on team tech needs
- Exchange with other team managers to disseminate general information to your team
- Communicate the needs of your team to external teams
- Act as the team's main technical point of contact for top management.
- Delivery/product management:
- Ensuring that the team's centres of expertise comply with the processes and best practices defined in their respective guilds
- Guarantee compliance with agility
- Guaranteeing the product's technical quality, maintainability and scalability
- Create and monitor the roadmap with the Product Manager and developers
- Helping the team to coordinate the technical aspects of their projects
- Ensuring that the team is autonomous for app MEPs by ensuring synchronisation with other teams
- Develop cross-disciplinary technical knowledge.
Qualifications :
- You have at least 5 years' experience as a manager.
- You have managed or worked in teams based on a micro-service architecture
- You have knowledge of Agile and Agile team management.
- You are used to working closely with Product Management.
- You have excellent leadership skills to motivate and develop your team
- You are able to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team
- You have experience of interpersonal communication and conflict resolution
