Mission of the position:

As a data engineer within the corporate division, your mission is to empower teams by providing data products that facilitate easy access and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will collect and processing data from different information sources, collaborating with teams to develop customised products. Your role is instrumental in supporting client information and systems, ensuring they have the data infrastructure necessary to excel. You report to the data manager of the corporate area.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve data products, programming pipelines and using structured/unstructured data models.

• Measure SLO and satisfaction levels, implementing insights for user experience enhancement.

• Provide real-time solutions using modern tools and languages.

• Develop pipelines for curated datasets.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and governance.

• Stay updated on global data capabilities and tools, applying them within the corporate area.

• Define dimensions and indicators company-wide.

• Create comprehensive data capture, transformation, and visualizations for self-service analytics.

• Collaborate with teams and common platform team to standardize high-quality solutions.

• Coach colleagues and users on data access for self-service and team autonomy.

Job Details:

• Mostly remote position (office attendance about 1x/month, or 3x/quarter.

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of similar role experience.

• Proficiency in SQL (Redshift, Databricks), Python, and PySpark.

• Experience with data processing frameworks (Spark, Flink, Kafka Streams, Beam).

• Familiarity with scheduling tools (Airflow, Luigi, Cloud Composer, Argo).

• Coding skills of development best practices.

• Review code, address issues, and Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners with teams.

• Intermediate Git proficiency.

• Fluent in English.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Docker and Kubernetes experience.

• Familiarity with Hadoop distributions (Hortonworks, Cloudera).

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Redshift, Cassandra).

• Tableau proficiency.

• Understanding of machine learning tools (scikit-learn, Spark ML).

• Storytelling skills.
