Position Overview:

As a Data Engineer at JobisJob, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop scalable solutions, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our data systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by harnessing the power of data to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions.

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest data from various sources into our data warehouse.

• Design and optimize data models for efficient storage and retrieval.

• Implement data governance best practices to ensure data quality and integrity.

• Build and maintain data pipelines using batch and streaming technologies.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, recommending and implementing new technologies and techniques as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.

• Proficiency in programming languages Java and nice to have for Python or Scala.

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, as well as data warehousing concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
