The Role

The mission of the CPO team is to provide Reliable, Resilient, Recoverable, and Repeatable (“4R’s”) infrastructure and platform environments.

We are seeking a Head of CPO who is skilled in strategic problem-solving and has a successful history of building impactful teams in SRE, Production Engineering, and Operations.

As the global leader of the CPO team, you will bring your expertise to drive key, strategic infrastructure programs that unlock velocity and mitigate operational risk. You'll work closely with your team and Engineering leaders to find opportunities to drive scale through automation, single-pane-of-glass control systems and champion a strong security posture. This position requires a strong people leader with a track record of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $211,000 - $330,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Transform Addepar’s CPO function, defining a strategic vision, structure, and critical initiatives to drive global scale for Addepar’s infrastructure operations.
  • Partner with existing Engineering and Operations teams, as well as senior leadership, to create, and gain agreement for your strategy.
  • Develop a culture of innovation with your Production Engineering team, by developing automation and tooling to improve our 4R’s measurements.
  • Provide strategic direction for operations teams, focusing their time on high priority, high value issues and incidents, and aligning them with Addepar’s goals
  • Provide frameworks, process and tooling communicate service reliability, performance and superior customer experience metrics to technology and business leadership, such as Service Level Objectives (SLO) and mean time to identification (MTTI), mean time to resolution (MTTR), and mean time to failure (MTTF),
  • Maintain standards and targets for resource utilization, scalability, reliability and cost-effectiveness
  • Focus on automation, in the context of self-healing, auto-remediation, removing manual toil, orchestration tooling and infrastructure-as-code patterns
  • Lead the Incident Response platform, and build a scaled, global Critical Incident Management Team that continuously aligns with Addepar’s strategic business needs
  • Be responsible for the Release Management platform, evolving tooling to modern Release and “CD” pipelines
  • Own the Disaster Recovery platform, ensuring the means exist to quickly recover degraded services, including instrumentation, runbooks, and tooling; ensure systems can fail gracefully when services are degraded.
  • Lead the Observability platform, ensuring adequate instrumentation and alerting exists to spot leading indicators of potential incidents
  • Own the Job Management platform, establishing a single-pane-of-glass view of automated jobs, supporting successful completion of critical jobs, and feeding critical issues into Observability and Incident Management platforms as needed.
  • Incorporate standard methodologies and processes into Addepar's Architecture and SDLC platforms to ensure stability and reliability are built into new solutions.
  • Champion and drive the establishment of a mature, enterprise-wide CMDB capability in support of multiple operational and security needs across the company

The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Frequently Asked Questions

  • We prioritize job seekers as our customers, unlike bigger job sites, by charging a small fee to provide them with curated access to the best companies and up-to-date jobs. This focus allows us to deliver a more personalized and effective job search experience.
  • Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
  • The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. From all of these sources, our founder, Morgan, has also resourced the company's authenticity in terms of their website, public appearance, and more.
  • Yes, our users asked us for just this, so now our search filters allow you to search for your top jobs via location, as well as by onsite, remote, or both. Approximately 30% of our jobs are remote, so you’ve got the best options for you!
  • We have not yet implemented this option, but are considering doing so in the future. For the moment, you would need to cancel your subscription, and resubscribe when you wanted to come back.
  • We add new jobs to EchoJobs every day! We scan our sources for the newest jobs, verify them, and post them to EchoJobs within minutes. We add about 2,000-3,000 new jobs for you each day!
  • From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
  • We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day. Additionally, if you got a chance to read our previous email on “what makes EchoJobs different from any other job search tools,” we also recommended that you set a job alert based on your job filters, so if you get emails on those new jobs, you could be checking more than once per day.
  • If you decide to continue with us after the 1-month trial, we definitely recommend this, as we all know it usually takes 3-6 months to find a quality job as a software engineer these days. So to best support you, we just adjusted our membership options at EchoJobs to monthly, 3 months, or 12 months (this option is more for passive job seekers looking a little bit for the future if they want to come back to work or make a job switch potentially. This lets you see what’s out there in case an even better fit job becomes available.)
  • EchoJobs is truly the only job site of its kind. We want to be THE spot for you to find the best job for you, and haven’t encountered any other company doing this. Other job sites are in niches besides software engineering or focus on a small portion of engineering jobs (like a specific coding language). In the words of Morgan, our founder, “I think what makes EchoJobs different is the amount of jobs, frequency that we add new jobs (we add 2,000-3,000 new jobs daily!), and the powerful search engines to find exactly the job you want more easily and efficiently. We can provide you with the most jobs that are vetted by us, we’ll continually find more new jobs for you, and we make it easier for you to apply and get hired.
