About the Customer Success Team
We help our customers achieve their desired outcomes and realize the highest added value possible – in their business context – with ActiveViam’s innovative suite of products and solutions.
We do that by partnering with our customers while providing them with a mix of product education, standard technical or functional support, and custom implementation/support services.
Onboarding new customers is obviously an important part of our responsibilities, but our work doesn’t stop here… We love to see our solutions go live AND be used more and more, as our customers understand the benefits of extending their use cases and achieving more with us.
We are not only “product evangelists”, externally, when fostering product adoption by our customers. We are also a fundamental “voice of the customer”, internally, to our product and engineering teams.
The Role - an Overview
You are a key contributor and lead (in some aspects) to help ActiveViam’s customers realize in a production context the business value that was articulated during Presales.
Leveraging ActiveViam products, you contribute to the implementation and deployment of solutions for and with our customers. When not assigned to a specific implementation project, you may handle some support tickets or contribute to customer education (FAQs, training).
Your job is overseen by more senior staff (e.g.Principal / Team Lead), but you are given some autonomy of decision within broad scopes of your day to day work.
Besides your responsibility to write clean code that implements sound design principles, and to be able to clearly explain how it was tested, you are also expected to provide input into parts of the design, development and deployment of our solutions.
Being an engineer in the Customer Success team means so much more than interacting with code and peers: we are passionate about getting our client end users to successfully use our software solutions, and our engineers must have the willingness to understand our clients needs in a business context.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering / Computer Sciences or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in support and engineering in/with financial institutions or financial software vendors.
- 3+ years experience in core Javaor Python development for data analytics use cases, w/t focus on memory, concurrency, and algo performance.
- Passion for identifying problems, participating in solutions definition, and then wanting to personally convince people of the right fit of such solutions.
- Genuine interest in financial markets and how technology can empower businesspeople to do their job more efficiently, in particular when it comes to analyzing data to steer the business.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel: flexibility to travel at short notice across Europe.
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Experience in market risk, credit/counterparty risk, or liquidity risk use cases.
- Experience with some BI tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI).
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Experience with devops frameworks/tools.
- Experience with some data storage/query engines.
- Experience with some in-memory computing frameworks.
