Deputy Release Consultant
Location: San Antonio, TX

You Are:
As a Deputy Release Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of software releases across multiple projects.
The Work:
- You’ll partner closely with program and project managers to ensure releases land on time, meet quality expectations, and align with broader project objectives
- You’ll help manage release schedules, oversee multiple concurrent releases, maintain alignment with stakeholders, and keep risks or issues visible and under control
- You’ll also gain hands-on experience with release management tools such as version control systems, deployment automation platforms, and release scheduling software—key elements in maintaining smooth and efficient release operations
- Assisting in planning, coordinating, and managing software releases
- Working with program and project managers to support successful release execution
- Communicating release schedules, milestones, and updates to stakeholders
- Identifying, tracking, and helping mitigate release-related risks
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality, predictable release processes
Here’s What You Need:
- 2 years of experience in Release Management and Program / Project Management
- 2 years of communications experience
- 2 years of experience managing or contributing to complex, multi-team projects
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Familiarity with release automation and deployment tools
- Experience with version control platforms (e.g., Git-based systems)
- Background in managing concurrent releases across large programs
- A knack for identifying risks early and keeping teams aligned
- Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative software delivery environments
Security Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
