Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures that support daily maintenance activities and efficient problem resolution. This position requires continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of database environments to support organizational needs and ensure data integrity and availability. Collaboration with various teams to align database solutions with business requirements is also a key aspect of the daily routine.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and security.
- Develop and document database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on database best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Experience with database installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Strong understanding of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Ability to optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of security best practices to safeguard sensitive data within database environments.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our BDC6F - SEZ office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
