Role Overview
The Manager – SAP ABAP Development for HANA will play a critical role in GSK s global S/4HANA transformation, driving modernization of custom ABAP developments in alignment with clean-core and HANA-first principles. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep S/4HANA expertise, and the ability to partner closely with functional, architecture, and onshore stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end ABAP development delivery for S/4HANA using modern frameworks including CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and RAP.
Own technical design, development quality, performance optimization, and code governance for HANA-optimized solutions.
Collaborate with functional teams and architects to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Drive adherence to clean-core strategy, SAP best practices, and enterprise development standards.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to offshore/onshore ABAP teams within an agile delivery model.

Executive Expectations

Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical workstreams in large transformation programs.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior client and internal leadership.
Accountable for delivery outcomes, technical risk management, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience & Skills

12+ years of SAP ABAP experience with 3+ years on SAP S/4HANA.
Strong hands-on expertise in CDS, AMDP, OData services, RAP, and HANA performance tuning.
Prior experience in ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation or large SAP implementation programs preferred.

15 years full time education
