Senior Data Analyst

Position Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging data to extract valuable insights, inform decision-making, and drive business growth. Your role will involve analyzing user behavior, game performance, and other data sources to help our clients enhance their gaming experiences. We are looking for an experienced data analyst who can bring industry-specific knowledge to the table and contribute to the success of our SaaS solutions in the gaming sector.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for the following functions and responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth analysis of user data, game performance metrics, and other relevant datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain data models and dashboards to visualize and present data-driven insights to both internal teams and external clients.
• Work closely with gaming industry clients to understand their specific data requirements and provide customized insights and recommendations.
• Create and deliver regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, highlighting trends and providing actionable insights.
• Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes to game features, user interfaces, and other variables on player behavior.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing data validation and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with our technical teams to integrate data analytics solutions into our SaaS platform, ensuring seamless data collection and analysis.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis, particularly within the gaming and SaaS sectors.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications/Experience Required
 Bachelors or relevant work experience or certification/courses. 

• At least 6 years of experience in data analysis and visualization using tools such as Java, Python, R, SAS, etc.
• Advanced experience in data management and analytics using relevant tools
• Advanced experience in troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving data issues
• Advanced experience in problem-solving by utilizing needed data analysis and large datasets. 
• Advanced experience in developing reports in the form of dashboards and visualization based on request.
• Advanced experience in data visualization to create compelling visual representations of data using relevant tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Quick Sight.
• Advanced experience in SQL and DDL using its best practices.
• Advanced experience in database systems like PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, and TimescaleDB. 
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with gaming analytics platforms and concepts such as player retention, engagement, and monetization.
• A passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Basic experience in mentoring, managing, and setting the direction for other engineers.
• Experience in efficiently processing large amounts of data.
• Experience in ensuring data quality and integrity by applying data validation and cleaning techniques.

• Experience with gaming industry data and backend systems is a plus.
• Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a passion for gaming is a plus point.
• Experience working with cloud platforms or web products is preferred.
• Experience working in a multinational technology startup is highly preferred.
• Eagerness to learn new languages and technologies.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English language.
• Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules.
