About the Role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Accedo, you'll collaborate with an Agile/Scrum team to deliver exceptional product features, conduct thorough functional testing, and engage with stakeholders to ensure product quality aligns with specified requirements. You are required to work in a hybrid model, with the expectation to be present in the office for three days per week.



Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to ensure effective delivery of product features.
• Conduct hands-on functional testing of new features, changes, and regression testing on releases, third-party changes, and editorial updates.
• Identify and address bugs and issues discovered during the development cycle.
• Engage with cross-functional Scrum team members, including product owners, designers, developers, and stakeholders, participating in sprint planning meetings, backlog refinements, and sprint retrospectives to ensure that product quality aligns with specified functional, performance, and business requirements.
• Proactively acquire information from stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements and expectations.
• Modify, add, or enhance test cases as requirements or solutions evolve.
• Create and provide feedback on test status, progress, product quality, and the quality of the testing process.
• Understand, implement, and update the test strategy, and measure and report test coverage.
• Provide training and coaching to other team members on relevant aspects of testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, emphasizing testability, consistency, and completeness.
• Actively participate in team retrospectives, contributing suggestions for and implementing improvements to enhance team performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development or quality assurance; 7+ years for Senior level positions.
• Proficiency in Mobile and Web application development with cross-platform testing experience is considered advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of various testing methodologies and technologies.
• Strong grasp of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Continuous Delivery, and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of product testing methodologies is a plus.
• ISTQB Agile Tester or CSM® certification is advantageous.
• Demonstrate proficiency in test automation, including the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
• Experience with Video and media-based development projects, including DRM, OVPs, Advertising, and Analytics, is beneficial.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling technical challenges.
• Keen interest in exploring new technology domains and staying abreast of business-relevant topics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable.
• Proficiency in using SCM systems such as Git and Subversion
