IT Project Manager

Abnormal Security is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join the IT team. As a rapidly growing cybersecurity company with a focus on innovation and excellence, we are in the process of building a team of experts to develop and implement advanced IT solutions. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects through scoping, analysis/design, implementation, and closing. These projects will vary in size and scope, requiring flexibility in project management processes and solutions.

This role will include management of the entire project life cycle, balancing the constraints of project scope, timelines, quality, and sometimes budget. The position will require management of issues and risks, completion of status reports, tracking progress towards deliverables and post-project close assessments. Day-to-day management of project timelines, action items, and resources will be required including significant communication to project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Additionally, there will be direct interaction with all levels of individuals throughout the organization as well as 3rd party vendors and consultants. The ideal profile thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, handling competing priorities and ambiguity with confidence. What you will do 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT, Security, HR, and various business functions, to ensure smooth project delivery in support of the entire Abnormal business
• Define, implement, and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of project execution. Continuously identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed
• Convert complex technical requirements from IT, Security, Governance, Business departments, and other key stakeholders into project plans with clearly defined milestones, owners, and deadlines
• Take charge of project schedules by identifying dependencies across project teams, addressing risks in advance, and reporting progress to stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables
• Take part in the development of organizational roadmaps and resource planning with leaders from IT, Security, Governance, and Business departments
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress toward shared goals
• Develop, establish, and refine best practices and repeatable processes to achieve operational excellence in managing a portfolio of projects

Must Haves 

• 4-6 years of professional experience in technical project management delivering cutting-edge technical solutions, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of leading successful IT projects
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team towards achieving technical excellence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate experience using project management software (ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Jira) for a medium or large enterprise
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Capable of translating and communicating highly technical requirements in a way that focuses on customer or business impact
• Experience working in and supporting customer and teammate needs in a global company
• Experience working in a remote first company

Nice to Have 

• Experience working with SaaS products and/or Software Engineering teams
• PMP or SAFe Certification
• Direct experience managing projects in ServiceNow PPM/SPM
