Bring your passion, ideas and purpose to life in a company that can truly help you achieve your full potential.

World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring, Abbott's Diabetes Care team designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings.

The Operations Systems Engineering team provide software and hardware integrated solutions to support the manufacture and testing of both the Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring sensor and Blood Glucose Measurement strip for the Abbott Diabetes Care division. Working with teams across Quality Assurance, Operations, Technical Investigation and R&D and the product software design and Third Party Manufacturing groups, the Systems team deliver best in class systems solutions within an Agile SCRUM\Dev Ops working framework to support these product lines. The team deliver end to end solutions from bespoke embedded firmware to database design and data analytics\reporting tools within a highly regulated environment.

With an increasing portfolio of Systems and a maturing culture of Agility there is a need to grow our software development team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with technical stakeholders to help product owners define technical requirements.

  • Develop software solutions (C#) in line with agreed priorities.

  • Actively participate in all SCRUM ceremonies.

  • Join the rest of the engineers to manage the Business As Usual backlog.

About You

You are an enthusiastic C# Dot Net developer who is building their career, whilst bringing baseline experience in industry. You have a passion for software engineering and enjoy working in a team delivering highly organised and efficient coded solutions in a Test Driven Development working methodology. You have demonstrated experience in delivering software and ideally you have worked within a Systems team delivering software in a Medical Device or similarly regulated environment (although wider FMCG or other sectors considered). You'll be educated to HNC/FDeg level as a minimum (or equivalent). You are a committed and enthusiastic technologist interested in manufacturing and business systems. You thrive in a dedicated team of skilled engineers but you also embrace the opportunity to represent your own contributions.

As you’d expect from an innovative global health care company, we offer a competitive range of benefits including excellent salaries, a class-leading defined contribution pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, subsidised canteen and a flexible benefits scheme. Here at Witney, we also like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in, including onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more!
