Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead engineering and site execution activities for Marine System projects. Each day, you will oversee project engineering deliverables and site operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project objectives. You will also demonstrate your ability by coordinating with stakeholders, managing site activities, and ensuring on-time project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.


The work model for the role is: #LI – Onsite

This role is contributing to the Automation – Marine & ports division in-Bangalore-Peenya India region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead engineering, design, and site execution activities for Marine & Ports Electrical Solutions projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

  • Engineer and integrate Marine Electrical Systems, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Automation and Control Systems, Power and Energy Management Systems, MV/LV Power Systems, and Protection, Control, and Monitoring Solutions.

  • Manage technical discussions with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and marine classification societies, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with project specifications.

  • Perform equipment selection, prepare technical specifications, review vendor drawings and documents, and execute detailed engineering for marine electrical and automation systems.

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Commissioning, and Site Teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely system delivery.

  • Support site installation, commissioning, and project documentation activities while ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, safe work practices, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Identify project risks and opportunities, implement mitigation plans, and provide technical leadership to optimize project performance, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Role

  • 10–15 years of experience in the engineering, design, and execution of Marine, Power, or Industrial Electrical Systems, with demonstrated technical leadership in complex projects.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong expertise in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Automation and Control Systems, Power and Energy Management Systems (PMS/EMS), and MV/LV Electrical Distribution Systems.

  • Hands-on experience with protection, control, and monitoring schemes, including system design, equipment selection, engineering reviews, and technical approvals.

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, approve technical designs, and ensure alignment with project scope, quality standards, customer requirements, Marine classification requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience managing technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout project engineering, execution, and commissioning phases.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global project environment.

  • Willingness to travel globally (approximately 20%) to support engineering reviews, customer engagements, project execution, commissioning, and site activities
