Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium to large size and complex E-House, Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind projects with international clients. You will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB’s policy, framework, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Offshore Solutions Business within the Automation Energy Industries Division and is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

• Providing leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.

• Supporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.

• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

• Defining, jointly with Project Controller, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans according to ABB management Framework.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of proven project management experience in complex industrial projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in planning, scheduling, and delivery of large-scale E-House, Electrification, and Automation projects within Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, and Renewable Energy sectors.

• Advanced proficiency across multiple functions including Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Project Controls with strong technical understanding.

• Exceptional leadership capabilities with proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage diverse, multicultural teams in dynamic international environments.

• Demostrated ability in stakeholder management and communication skills with fluency in English and strong presentation capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of ABB Project Management Framework, quality standards, health, safety & environment (HSE) compliance, and financial management protocols.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex technical, logistical, and interpersonal challenges professionally.
