Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELDS Solution business in Xiamen China. Main stakeholders are ELDS.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Pre-sales Support

  • Study and know customer’s need or pain points through project execution

  • Propose the promotion materials for bidding and spec-in the proposal
  • Co-laborate tendering team to prepare the quotation document and improve hit rate
  • Engage with customers to negotiate and finalize technical agreements
  • Optimize the scheme to improve the solution competitiveness

Engineering Design

  • Negotiate with customer technical requirements finalized
  • Design solution drawings or review drawings from vendors
  • BOM preparation and release (when applicable)
  • Coordinate purchasing dep. for materials and components cost optimization
  • Coordinate production, track and solve problems that occur during prodcution
  • Design timing management ,design frozen timely to avoid futher rework COPQ
  • Solve the technical issues including site commissions.

Leading Engineering

  • Have rich experience in multi-fields, power system products, digital system, segment knowhow
  • Make cross-field solution proposal
  • Lead the feasibility, rationality, optimization and innovation of the overall technical scheme of complex projects
  • As consultant in energy transition market

Project management

  • When needed, handle project as a project manager, based on your electrical engineering background
  • Ensure project delivery on time , risk migration
  • Margin Improvement
  • Customer satisfaction increase
  • Regular pregress report and close-out report

Site Management

  • Inspect digital system project site work done by suppliers in HSE, work quality
  • Write work logs and monthly report
  • Identify site work defects and manage suppliers correct it timely
  • Keep good communication with customer and feedback the work status regularly
  • Hold work start kickoff meeting and daily routine meeting
  • Site work close-out report
  • Support site commission work, e.g. system configuariton , Gateway configuration

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience of electrical design, experience in medium-voltage or low-voltage switchgear or eHouse is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, such as medium-voltage technology, power system analysis, and protection relay.
  • Project design, project management skills.
  • Good communication and logical thinking ability.
  • Proficient in office software, such as AutoCAD.
  • Good English skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
  • Be brave to take responsibility, be innovative, pragmatic and rigorous
