  • Working with systems such as boilers, gas and steam turbines, cogeneration units, steam networks, electrical grids, renewable generation, battery storage, and other industrial utilities.

  • Analyzing process documentation, equipment data, operating curves, historical data, and customer requirements to define appropriate model parameters and constraints.

  • Validating model behavior against real plant operation and identifying differences between expected and actual performance.

  • Supporting the definition of optimization inputs, operating limits, costs, and process constraints.

  • Troubleshooting model behavior and optimization results together with project engineers and technical specialists.

  • Collaborating with customers, process experts, project managers, and international ABB teams.

  • Participating in testing, commissioning, and tuning of optimization applications for industrial and energy customers.

  • You are comfortable working with equations, characteristic curves, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.

  • Experience with Modelica, Dymola, OpenModelica, MATLAB/Simulink, Aspen, EBSILON, or another engineering modelling environment is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of mathematical optimization, objective functions, decision variables, and constraints is an advantage, but not a requirement.

  • You have strong analytical skills and enjoy understanding how complex technical systems behave.

  • You have fluent English, including the ability to work with technical documentation and communicate in an international project environment.

  • You are proactive, structured, communicative, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
