Your role and responsibilities

In this role, we are looking for software quality professionals to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role requires a strong quality engineering professional with extensive experience in functional, integration, system, and regression testing for enterprise-grade products. The candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end validation across UI, APIs, services, data pipelines, configurations, and user journeys, while ensuring release readiness and quality confidence.

The role also requires strong hands-on experience in UI, API, and service-level test automation, along with the ability to define test strategies, drive automation coverage, manage defects, and support CI/CD-based validation processes.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Define test strategy, validation scope, and risk-based approach for features, integrations, and releases by reviewing requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical changes.
  • Lead end-to-end validation across UI, APIs, services, data pipelines, configurations, and user journeys, ensuring release readiness and quality confidence.
  • Drive automation coverage for critical workflows and regression, while collaborating with engineering teams to enforce quality gates and support compatibility, upgrade, and environment-based testing.
  • Own defect triage, risk assessment, validation tracking, and release sign-off inputs, while mentoring junior QEs and contributing to process improvements, reusable assets, and quality governance.

Qualifications for the role:

  • 8–12 years of experience in software quality engineering with strong expertise in functional, integration, system, and regression testing for enterprise-grade products.
  • Proven hands-on experience in UI, API, and service-level test automation, along with strong knowledge of automation frameworks and modern QE practices.
  • Solid understanding of release validation, risk-based testing, quality reporting, and end-to-end quality ownership across delivery lifecycles.
  • Strong grasp of architecture-level workflows involving applications, services, APIs, databases, and integrations, with experience in API and database validation.
  • Extensive experience in test strategy, test planning, defect management, triage, and CI/CD-based validation processes.
  • Ability to lead quality discussions and collaborate effectively with developers, architects, product managers, and release stakeholders, supported by strong communication skills.
  • BE/BTech/ME/MTech in relevant fields with preferred domain exposure such as industrial platforms, IIoT, data/analytics, manufacturing, energy, etc.· Familiarity with tools and practices such as Azure DevOps, Playwright, Python automation, observability, and performance-aware testing.
