Your role and responsibilities

As an Associate Project Engineer, you will support engineering teams in transforming customer orders into approval drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) that meet customer requirements. Working under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development, and successful delivery of ABB products while contributing to the maintenance and improvement of engineering databases and libraries.

The work model for the role is #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating and maintaining electrical components in engineering parts databases.

• Developing and updating electrical engineering symbols for design libraries.

• Generating simplified 3D models of electrical components.

• Supporting the standardization and continuous improvement of engineering databases and libraries.

• Assisting engineering teams in resolving database issues.
   

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Control/Automation Engineering.

• 1+ Years of experience creating and interpreting electrical technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software. (Basic knowledge of Medium or Low Voltage Switchgear and/or MCC desirable).

• Knowledge of Excel (Dynamic table).

• EPLAN basic knowledge (desirable) and PTC Windchill basic knowledge (desirable).
