We’re looking for our new Lead Front End Developer ! 

You will be responsible for cross-functional front-end projects, focusing on enhancing the day-to-day working environment for front-end developers. This includes analyzing and improving processes from new project specifications to production deployment in collaboration with the DevOps team.

In this role, you will make critical front-end technology choices, lead the front-end chapter comprising 20 developers, and act as a product manager for specifying and prioritizing the front-end tech roadmap alongside the product roadmap.

This role requires effective communication with other teams and evangelizing relevant technologies for AB Tasty's future through internal talks.

At AB Tasty, the Tech teams are divided into three squads: Infrastructure, Features, and Core Platform. The Lead Front End Developer may be part of either the Features or Core Platform teams, depending on their technical skills.



A few examples of your responsibilities:

Working closely with all Engineering, Product, and UX/UI teams: 
- Define and prioritize the technical roadmap for the front-end, collaborating closely with the UI/UX chapter to simplify front-end components. This includes co-owning the design system project alongside the UI/UX lead.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and select opportunities to stabilize the platform or improve the quality and speed of front-end projects.
- Evaluate and establish a migration plan for major updates to critical libraries used in our projects.
- Lead the front-end chapter by hosting weekly 1-hour meetings to present proofs of concept for new technologies or discuss strategic choices for the company's future.
- Document best practices and development processes, ensuring they are adhered to by the team.
- Provide quarterly presentations to stakeholders to showcase improvements and monitor cross-functional projects.
- Coach and mentor front-end developers with varying levels of seniority.


What we look for:

- You have at least 5 years of experience as a front-end developer, and at least 2 years as a tech lead role.
- Proficiency in React is mandatory. Knowledge in Vue and/ or Angular would be a plus.
- Skilled in testing React applications using Vitest or Jest and React testing libraries, Write quality, effective, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Experience with the "Micro-frontend" concept is a plus.
- Proactive about managing technical debt, you bring new ideas to reduce and maintain our libraries and infrastructure.
- Participate in projects from the design phase through to final production.
- Demonstrate autonomy with strong communication skills, incident reporting, and the ability to analyze and present new ideas.
- Embrace a problem-solving mindset with a "keep it simple and straightforward" approach and strong algorithmic thinking.
- Fluent in French with professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Our recruitment process:

Our hiring process is made of 4 steps:
1. A Discovery Interview with our Talent Acquisition team (Christine): talk about yourself (experience, career expectations...) and what we offer (environment, missions...) - 45 to 60 minutes
2. A Hiring Manager Interview (Aria) to get to know you better. You'll discuss your skills, motivation to join our team, and some algorithms questions - 60 minutes
3. A Technical Interview to assess your coding skills with 2 people from the team - 60 minutes.
4. A Culture Fit interview with someone outside your team to talk about life and culture at AB Tasty - 45 minutes

This process is designed specifically to make sure that the match is good, both for AB Tasty and for you!


Contract & Location:

- CDI
- Paris office 
- Smooth working from home policy : 3 remote days/week
- Salary: between 64 and 79K€
