We are seeking a senior level, energetic and self-driven software engineer to join 8x8’s Work Mobile team to help expand the capabilities of our iOS application. As a member of our team, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming features that will delight and inspire 8x8’s customers every day.

You’ll be a great fit in our team if you:

• Have 5+ years of iOS app development experience

• Have solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

• Have worked in an Agile environment

• Adhere to SOLID principles

• Prioritize architecture and design over quick, but inadequate, solutions

• Know Swift programming inside out

• Have great communication skills both verbal and written in both Romanian and English

• Love learning new technologies and have a growth mindset

• Are open to work in a multicultural environment

You’ll be an even better fit if you:

• Have working knowledge of CoreData, Combine, modules, push notifications, structured concurrency, SwiftUI

• Have worked or know about VoIP, SIP, OAuth 2.0, WebSockets

• Also know what continuous integration is, and have come across Jenkins before

• Have a mentor-type personality to help others grow along the way

As a member of the team you’ll have the opportunity to work with experts in their field to expand the functionality of 8x8’s mobile applications. This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and communication skills to handle responsibilities including:

• Understand, interpret and clarify functional requirements as well as technical requirements for the project

• Work together with product and development teams to define software specifications

• Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

• Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results
