About the Role

We are looking for a Data Technical Project Manager with experience in project management for data engineering teams. This person will join our team to support and guide the execution of data architecture initiatives and ensure our data infrastructure aligns with business needs and strategy.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and fGlobal Customer Success to ensure that data engineering projects are well-prioritized, accurately resourced, and executed on schedule. You will help ensure that project roadmaps are followed and that outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.

Experience with data visualization infrastructure (Tableau or similar), cloud data platforms (Snowflake or similar), CRM (Salesforce or similar), and product analytics tools (Amplitude, GA, Mixpanel) is a plus for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Project Management: Lead project planning for the Data Engineering team, ensuring that projects are effectively prioritized, assigned, and aligned with team goals.

• Partner with non-technical teams within the company to identify critical analytical problems and find innovative solutions with data

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with stakeholders across business units to align project objectives and outcomes with business needs, ensuring strategic alignment and buy-in.

• Roadmap Monitoring: Regularly track the Data Engineering roadmap, overseeing the timely delivery of milestones and outcomes, and adjusting priorities as needed.

• Architectural and Infrastructure Oversight: Supervise architecture and data infrastructure projects, managing challenges, risks, and escalations effectively.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary contact for project status, facilitating regular updates to stakeholders, managing expectations, and fostering open communication.

• Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with data engineering, product, and IT teams to coordinate project requirements, timelines, and delivery goals, ensuring smooth execution and cross-functional alignment.

• Data Visualization and Warehousing: Utilize Tableau to support data visualization efforts and ensure data warehousing solutions in Snowflake meet project and business requirements.

• Data Governance: Drive data governance efforts, implementing and enforcing best practices across data documentation, security, compliance, and data integrity. Maintain a consistent governance framework in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Pipeline Requests: Manage requests from stakeholders for new data pipelines or modifications to existing pipelines, ensuring they are prioritized and addressed in alignment with team capacity and business impact.

• Bug Reporting and Resolution: Establish a streamlined process for reporting and tracking data pipeline bugs and data quality issues, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement of pipeline reliability.

• Documentation and Quality Assurance: Oversee project documentation, resource allocation, and quality assurance practices to ensure data accuracy, system stability, and project transparency.

• Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify potential bottlenecks or project delays early, implementing proactive solutions to keep projects on track and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3 years of experience in Project Management, ideally within data or technical project environments.

• Experience in managing projects related to data infrastructure, architecture, or engineering.

• Strong ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders in various departments.

• Proven track record of successfully prioritizing and managing complex project roadmaps.

• Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake, Tableau, Salesforce, and Amplitude is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across remote, global teams.

• Strong analytical skills, with experience in using data to drive decisions and measure project success.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project status, risks, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in Agile methodologies or similar project management frameworks.
