Tech Lead - ERP

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that all requirements are well documented, ticketed, and prioritized for the development team(s). Success in this role requires strong project leadership capabilities, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and a solid technical understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, and solution architecture.

At 3stepIT, the Tech Lead also acts as the technical owner for named solution(s), such as ERP, AssetIQ, CRM, , Finance, and other business-critical systems. You understand the big picture of all 3stepIT products and services while maintaining detailed functional and architectural expertise within your designated solution area(s).

This role requires the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives, balance business and technical priorities, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Main responsibilities & tasks:

• Tech Leadership: Lead technical decision-making, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure consistent implementation across all projects in a focus area based on technology competence and background. Tech Lead owns and ensures the delivery of technical outputs for projects.

• Architecture & Design: Lead and ensure together with architects and other stakeholders a robust and scalable design, and secure IT solutions that meet business requirements.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, business analysts, vendors and other teams to align technical initiatives with business objectives. Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders and participate in project/sprint planning and estimation activities. 

• Performance & Scalability: Drive optimal performance, security, and scalability of the applications and systems being developed.

• Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of challenges to ensure that project risks are identified and mitigated effectively. 

• Dev/partner coordination: Ensure all relevant technical documentation is created, and user stories for development teams and roadmap/backlogs are up to date.

• System/process ownership: Owns the named solution(s) on a technical level, understands how solution(s) are built and how the process(es) are run through the solutions. Help defining named solution(s) strategy and vision together with stakeholders.

What you bring with you:

• Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3+ years in a Tech Lead, Solution Lead, or similar role within a complex business environment

• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering large-scale IT projects and cross-functional initiatives

• Strong understanding of software architecture, system integrations, design patterns, and development best practices

• End-to-end business process understanding and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience working with enterprise applications and business-critical systems

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern development practices such as CI/CD

• Good understanding of Agile, Scrum, and IT service management frameworks such as ITIL

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection standards, and secure software development practices

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across different organizational functions

• Ability to balance short-term business priorities with long-term system health and maintainability

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration

• Strong English communication skills are required; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage
