Job Description:

Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World.

As Product Engineer you will collaborate to apply our science in ways that make a positive impact on people’s lives. In this role you will collaborate directly with the San Luis Potosi Manufacturing and Quality Leaders and other senior product engineers globally to support product localization or new products qualification meeting with 3M high standards to keep our products safety and quality including technical documentation, data management, approve/maintain product standards, specs & build of materials, ensure product regulatory compliance & certifications/claims, raw material substitution.

Product Engineers connect each discipline within the company, foster global 3M relationships and interact with suppliers and customers. Product Engineers translate between technical/engineering disciplines and incorporate feedback from customers and application engineers. to further improve products, processes, and services. By balancing process, product, and customer considerations, Product Engineers help foresee issues before they arise.

The Impact you Will Make in this Role

·        Develop and verify raw materials specifications.

·        Support production, business and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.

·        Coordinate sample testing and documentation.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: 

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.

·        Minimum of 1 year working with engineering product documentation.

·        Experience in Manufacturing assembly processes, work instructions, factory layouts, capacity constraints and high-volume production rates, statistical analysis

·       Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

·        Experience with SAP is a plus, document control systems, mechanical characterization methods, analytical testing is strongly preferred.

·        One or more years of experience with technical areas is strongly preferred.
