As Application Engineer Leader you will play a key role for Leading technical team to support Safety business in Mexico in the division of Personal Safety Division in Mexico City. In this role you will be able to define strategies and plans to support technically Mexico Personal Safety Division growth, lead Regulatory and Certification approach for Mexico Market, eventually as a member of standard committee and/or trade association, technical support and application development related to hazards by customer operations and processes.

The impact you will make in this role

• You will lead Application Engineer team to technical support and application development related to hazards by customer operations and processes.

• You will motivate the Application Engineer team to develop customer application and connect with LATAM and Global Application Engineer for seek the best solutions.

• You will be tracking customers’ opportunities: prioritization, portfolio, training working with a cross-functional team.

• You will motivate Mexico Application Engineer team to develop technical content, support new product introduction, capture customer insights, customer training and product certification according to local standards.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).

• Eight (8) years of occupational, health and safety experience, industrial process, occupational risk assessment in a private or public company or government.
   

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

• Five (5) years of experience leading teams

• Language: English - Advanced

• 50% of time spent on business trips and/or customer visits

• Soft skills: Teamwork, problem-solving abilities, Communication skills, Adaptability and flexibility, customer focus.

• Current valid Driver’s license
   

Work location: Hybrid modality, residence in Mexico City or nearby states is required to be able to attend the office regularly and when needed.
