Job Description
Java UI/Angularjs Developer
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Embed with MSG team to understand client needs as well as markets and asset classes covered by the group
- Propose, design, and implement software solutions to enhance our client services and capture new opportunities
- Design and build platforms to increase our operational efficiency and scale
- Develop client and desk-facing applications using web frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, React JS)
- Build scalable financial services using the latest server-side technologies
- Research and develop on new data platforms (e.g. MongoDB, HDFS, Spark, Cassandra)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience
- Must have strong Java skills
- Must have familiarity with MongoDB and SQL (Not a DBA but knows how to use the technology)
- Programming and software development education/experience in Java
- Communication and presentation skills
- Creativity, entrepreneurship and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaborate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Web UI Development experience
- Background in statistics, math and/or finance is preferred but not required
