Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our manufacturing and prototyping initiatives. In this part-time, 3-month internship, you will collaborate with our engineering team to design components, iterate on prototypes, and contribute to real-world product development. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a fast-paced environment, with the potential for extension beyond the initial term.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies

• Create and modify CAD models and technical drawings

• Support prototyping and testing, particularly using 3D printing technologies

• Collaborate with engineers to brainstorm, troubleshoot, and iterate on designs

• Maintain design documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Experience with CAD software (preferably OnShape or SolidWorks)

• Familiarity with 3D printing processes and equipment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment

• Hands-on experience assembling or testing mechanical prototypes

• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles

• Exposure to other CAD platforms or simulation tools

Benefits & Compensation

• Hourly Range: $25 – $30

• Part-Time (20 hours per week)
