About the role:
10x Genomics is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our Project Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collect and compile data and assist in the coordination of project execution. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in gathering and compiling data, enabling our teams to make data-driven decisions about COGS optimization initiatives.
What you will be doing:
- Collect and analyze data to support ROI analyses of potential COGS optimization activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., finance, procurement, planning, NPD, R&D, and Product Management) to gather relevant project-related data.
- Maintain and update COGS / ROI models within the Project Engineering data infrastructure.
- Provide programmatic and organization support for the Director of Project Engineering, and project technical leads.
- Create reports and dashboards to facilitate the monitoring of project status and impact, and report out results to Senior Management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data verification and cleaning measures, so as to ensure that the fidelity and robustness of datasets and models is adequate to support consequential business decisions.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Business or a technical or semi-technical field with 1+ years of experience either in a full time role or an internship.
- Proficiency with basic data analysis tools such as Google Sheets or Excel.
- Ability to work independently within a framework of guidance and specified deliverables.
- Some experience with basic financial analysis and terms, though expertise in these areas is not required.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications and skills:
- Experience working in a technical environment such as a semiconductor, biotech or life sciences company.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
