Senior/ Principal Test Consultant - Afternoon Shift

Location: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Pakistan

10Pearls is seeking an experienced Principal Test Consultant to lead quality engineering initiatives across web and mobile platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on practitioner who can define enterprise testing strategies, establish quality standards, build scalable automation frameworks, and mentor QA teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in web and mobile test automation using technologies such as Selenium and Appium, strong expertise in test management platforms, and a proven track record of driving quality across complex software delivery programs. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software releases.

• Define and own end-to-end quality assurance and testing strategies across web and mobile applications.
• Establish QA standards, testing methodologies, release quality gates, and entry/exit criteria.
• Provide guidance on quality risks, release readiness, test planning, and estimation activities.
• Lead, mentor, and support QA Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Test Leads.
• Drive quality-first practices through active participation in requirements analysis and solution design reviews.
• Develop and track quality metrics to continuously improve software quality and delivery predictability.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Implement automated testing solutions using Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Develop and execute API automation test suites for service-layer validation.
• Implement data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid automation frameworks.
• Ensure automation coverage aligns with business priorities and release objectives.
• Improve framework reliability, execution efficiency, and maintainability.
• Lead testing efforts across web, mobile-web, hybrid, and native mobile applications.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing across modern browsers and devices.
• Develop automation solutions for iOS and Android platforms.
• Validate mobile-specific functionalities including gestures, permissions, notifications, orientation changes, interruptions, and application upgrades.
• Manage testing across real devices, emulators, simulators, and cloud-based device farms.
• Plan and execute functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on requirements and user stories.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely defect remediation and quality improvements.
• Manage test assets, test suites, execution cycles, and reporting using TestWorthy or similar test management platforms.
• Establish end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Publish quality dashboards, test coverage reports, execution summaries, and release quality assessments.
• Ensure clear communication of testing progress, risks, and quality status to stakeholders.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support DevOps and continuous testing initiatives.
• Reduce flaky tests and improve execution performance and stability.
• Evaluate emerging QA tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance testing effectiveness and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in web and mobile test automation.
• Strong expertise in Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise-grade test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with TestWorthy or comparable test management tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing QA teams.
