The Infrastructure Engineering (IE) is responsible for innovation in infrastructure and automation for ZoomInfo Engineering working specifically with our ZoomInfo’s Data Platform team. Within the IE group, the DevOps team is the main point of contact with, and advocate for, developers and their needs. The team’s goal is to accommodate and anticipate the developers’ needs, providing support, infrastructure, deployment automation, and technical guidance as needed. We constantly look for ways to improve the developer experience, release infrastructure, and automation. DevOps staff provide technical guidance and infrastructure education to developers, ensuring best practices are followed while their needs are met.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in both traditional DevOps release work and modern infrastructure, with a thorough understanding of industry best practices. They will have a high level of comfort participating in challenging technical discussions, and advocating for best practices in a high-paced environment.

What you will do:

Infrastructure as Code (IAC):

  • Develop and maintain IAC scripts and templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources.
  • Implement best practices for IAC to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of our systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IAC solutions that meet project requirements.

Kubernetes Expertise:

  • Manage our Cloud-native high scale production deployments (SaaS) running on Kubernetes
  • Implement Kubernetes best practices for containerization, deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure and applications running on it.

Cloud Provider Expertise:

  • Utilize deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) to design and optimize cloud-based solutions. Prefer GCP for this position. 
  • Implement cloud-native services and resources to support the company's applications and services.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Implement strategies for zero-downtime deployments and rollbacks.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of the CI/CD pipeline.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

  • Own production infrastructure stability, availability, and reliability.
  • Manage different monitoring and observability tools for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Problem Solving and Collaboration:

  • Install, configure, update and troubleshoot our product services and tools
  • Own production infrastructure stability, availability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify optimization strategies, help develop self-healing capabilities and ensure high availability
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. 
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements. 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 7+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools and principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS/GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd).
  • Proven work experience in provisioning Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise or community edition.
  • Familiarity with Databases and Data Platform technologies such as GCP BigQuery and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge in monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus etc..
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux OS and networking.
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience in package, config and deployment management via Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD is a plus

The US base salary range for this position is $152,000.00 to $209,000.00 + Bonus + Equity + Benefits.
