We leverage technology best suited for each use case, however, our teams typically use the following tech:
- Java, NodeJS, and Go for our APIs and services
- A range of persistence strategies including relational and non-relational databases

About the role

As a Technical Lead - Backend Jave Software Development Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery and ongoing support of projects from end to end. In addition, you will:

• Contribute to the design of new features.

• Review the code of your peers

• Advocate for standard methodologies

• Facilitate engineering discussions

• Mentor junior engineers

• Participate in an inclusive, energetic and highly multi-functional team.

Como líder técnico de desarrollo de software, liderará la entrega y el soporte continuo de proyectos de principio a fin. Además, usted deberá:

• Contribuir al diseño de nuevas funcionalidades.

• Revisar el código de sus compañeros.

• Abogar por metodologías estándar

• Facilitar los debates de ingeniería.

• Capacitar a ingenieros junior.

• Participar en un equipo inclusivo, enérgico y altamente multifuncional.

• Este rol ha sido categorizado como un puesto de teletrabajador. Los teletrabajadores no cuentan con un lugar de trabajo de oficina corporativa permanente y, en cambio, trabajan desde un lugar físico de su elección, el cual debe ser identificado ante la Empresa. Los empleados pueden vivir en cualquier parte de México,con disponibilidad de viajar a Ciudad de México, ya que recomendamos la asistencia a eventos ocasionales en la oficina.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

• Brings over 5 years of software development experience, specializing in Java for backend services.

• Has expertise in various persistence strategies, encompassing relational and non-relational databases.

• Is fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken and is authorized to work in Mexico.

• Demonstrates mastery across multiple modern Java development technologies, adept at designing, delivering, debugging, and maintaining backend systems.

• Possesses proficiency in related technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.

• Is passionate about establishing standard methodologies, elevating systems design, enhancing code quality, and ensuring maintainability – not just within the team but across the entire engineering organization.

  • Posea habilidades en tecnologías relacionadas como Spring Boot, Hibernate y arquitectura de microservicios.

  • Esté apasionado por establecer metodologías estándar, elevar el diseño de sistemas, mejorar la calidad del código y garantizar la mantenibilidad, no solo dentro del equipo sino en toda la organización de ingeniería.
