About the role:

You.com is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be a key player in the integration of software development and IT operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with experience in automating processes, optimizing systems, and ensuring the reliability and security of production environments. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for a wide range of tasks, from designing infrastructure as code to leading incident management and response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure and Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the setup and management of IT resources. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment.

• Monitoring and Performance: Monitor applications and services to ensure reliability and performance. Optimize system performance through troubleshooting and problem-solving. Implement site reliability tools and dashboards to help understand platform health.

• Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to oversee code releases. 

• Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Common security knowledge and understanding of relevant threats

• Management and Maintenance: Manage infrastructure, including cloud services and in-house hardware, to meet organizational needs 

• Automation and Tools: Utilize open-source technologies and tools to orchestrate solutions, including writing scripts and managing data sources 

• Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain the company's DevOps strategy in alignment with business goals. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred 

• Experience: Several years of experience in managing Linux-based infrastructure and hands-on experience with scripting languages and databases are essential 

• Technical Skills: Proficient in  Python, Bash, and Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions and Atlantis.  

• Must have experience with  containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes 

• Cloud Expertise: Architected and built applications and services on AWS.  Experience with Azure is a plus.

• Security: Common security knowledge and integration of 

• Soft Skills: Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, team player attitude, good time-management, and strong communication skills are important
