Role: Data Center Operations Technician Intern 

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Hourly Rate: $23 USD

Data Center Operations Technician Intern: 

X serves our community of users and customers by working tirelessly to preserve free expression and choice, create limitless interactivity, and create a marketplace that enables the economic success of all its participants.

Who we are: 

Data Center Operations are critical to maintaining X's uptime. Our team is responsible for maintaining a hyperscale fleet of servers, network hardware including cabling infrastructure and managing assets inventory as daily operations.

What you’ll do: 

As a Data Center Operations Technician Intern, you will be responsible for the health of our server and network infrastructure in Data Centers. You will diagnose server problems, determine root causes, and ensure hardware is repaired and healthy for returning to production. You will be responsible for the network infrastructure maintenance, including troubleshooting/fixed fiber connectivity and replacing failed network gear components.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or a master's degree in a CS or engineering-related field 

• Able to commit to at least 12 weeks or more at Atlanta Data Center Office location

• In compliance with federal law, all offers are subject to verification of identity and eligibility to work in the US, and completion of the required employment eligibility verification form.  

• Understanding differences in cabling standards like fiber, copper etc.

• Have Linux background, able to navigate via terminal

• You are great at following directions, learning quickly, and paying close attention to details.
