The Opportunity - Senior Site REliability Engineer - Ruby on Rails (Remote - USA / CANADA)

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to play a hands-on role in driving our mission to build an outstanding technology company. You will be one of the founding members of our Site Reliability Engineering team. You’ll collaborate with our product and systems engineers to build resilient and performant products.

What You'll Do:

• Help define the technical direction for the Site Reliability Engineering team.
• Collaborate with our platform engineers, developers, and security experts to provide elegant solutions to Wrapbook engineers' needs.
• Lead and iterate on incident response processes for the organization.
• Lead architectural reviews and design monitoring strategies for major new features.
• Participate in on-call for a small portfolio of external and internal services.
• Contribute to Terraform or Rails projects in pursuit of better application performance and operability.
• Learn from and be mentored by other engineers.

What You’ll Have:

• Technical expertise with at least one: Kubernetes, Docker, or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with monitoring services and tools, such as: SumoLogic, Honeycomb, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Vector.
• Experience operating and scaling web applications using container orchestration systems.
  • 2+ years on-call experience for web applications.

Bonus Points For:

• Completion of Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Have a pet or cool tchotchke you’re willing to show us on Zoom calls 🙂
