Workday's Developer Experience organisation is home to hardworking and driven CI engineers. We empower software development teams to release their services into the hands of our customers by providing tooling and infrastructure to build, package and test their applications.

About the Role

-  Drive a technical roadmap, innovate and strengthen the existing CI platform.

-  Build positive relationships both with the software engineering teams that use our pipeline and other CI organizations within Workday.

-  Be an advocate for CI/CD and help to deliver standard methodologies within Workday.

-  Be passionate about software engineering practices, automation, and finding opportunities to reduce toil.

-  Be curious about the strategic direction of CI/CD within the software industry and contribute to discussions about this with other SMEs in Workday.

About You

Senior Software Development Engineer:

Basic Qualifications: 

• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 or more years in a technical role with proven experience of innovation and feature delivery. 

Other Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience of Jenkins, Docker, GCP or AWS, Python, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, Terraform and Ansible.
• Some knowledge of Javascript and Java is beneficial.
• Have experience with cloud native technologies - K8s, AWS, GCP, Tekton, Argo.
• Experience with building, operating, maintaining and scaling CI pipelines.
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse customers within an organisation.
• Experience of the operations side of DevOps having worked in this area at a high level.
• Experience working with providing support to consumers of a platform.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Have a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Software Development Engineer:
