About the Role

We are thrilled to offer an opening at Workday for the role of Senior Associate Software Development Engineer. As a highly regarded member of our team in Dublin, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced technologies and play a pivotal role in creating top-notch software solutions. As a software engineer within Workday's IAM Organization, you'll have a vital role in enhancing and improving our technical and operational frameworks. You will be involved in all aspects of software development, including designing, coding, testing, deploying, and providing support for our customer-facing software solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply your expertise in JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) and distributed cloud/SaaS systems to create advanced features and ensure the stability of current software solutions.

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and leadership to ensure the alignment of development efforts with company objectives.

• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical ideas to other team members and key stakeholders.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Associate Software Development Engineer to join our team. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in multi-threaded, object-oriented languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.

• Experience with Spring framework is a plus

• Familiarity with essential development tools and methodologies, including version control systems, requirement specification, design review, unit testing, system testing, and performance testing.
   

Other Qualifications:

• Strong technical background with a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends.

• Experience owning/operating SaaS/cloud-based distributed systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Have a strong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management tools and technologies is a plus.
