What You Will Bring to the Team:

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for providing advisory and solutions to our largest enterprise customers and helping them address their biggest security concerns. The security consultant identifies and prioritizes security-related requirements, promotes security-by-design principles, and facilitates the delivery of security services like security assessments, platform hardening and control implementation in cloud environments.

A successful candidate must have a strong technical background with extensive knowledge as SOC, Cloud Security Engineer, DevSecOps (SRE) Engineer with security specialty, or Security Architecture Engineer. 

Your Day-to-Day Activities

• Analyzing existing cloud structures and creating new and enhanced security methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments.
• Responsible for keeping the infrastructure current, making recommendations, and participating in the implementation and continuous improvement of technologies and services in assigned information security domains.
• Performing security assessments to critical assets and infrastructure.
• Developing, applying, and maintaining best practices and controls around cloud environments.
• Collaborating with engineering and project related teams to align on and execute improvements to cloud infrastructure and cloud base systems. 
• Interpret business requirements into security and technical requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to engineers.
• Provide subject matter expertise on information security architecture and systems engineering to other IT and business teams

Are you fit?

• Experience with security operations management including firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR, End-Point hardening, MDM (Jamf), Bug Bounty, Security Testing, AWS Native Security Tools.
• Experience with threat and vulnerability management in a cloud environment. 
• Experience with SIEM technology (eg Splunk, Data Dog) and Incident Response.
• Experience with Terraform, K8s, Container Security, Mobile Sec, and Configuration Management Tools (Ansible, SaltStack)
• Experience with security automation.
• Foundational understanding of threat modeling, AppSec, IAM
• Experience with and understanding of DevSecOps tools (SAST, DAST, Fuzzers etc).
• Fluency in one or more dev languages (Ruby, Python, Perl etc).
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence and linstruct.
• Experience with working in industry standards e.g. ISO2700x, NIST, SOC etc. 

Nice to Have

• 4 years of experience in SOC.
• Knowledge and experience with other cloud providers  (Azure, GCP)
• DevSecOps principles and practices.
• Certifications like CCSP, CISSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals, GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), Google Certified Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or similar certification is a plus but not mandatory.
