Job Description

Analytical & Characterization Department plays a critical-role in the validation and qualification of hard-disk drives. As a Software Engineer in the department, your role is to ensure that the test can be executed properly from software perspective. This includes develop and debug various test scripts. Also, you will be the developer for a web-based test management system which is focused on automation, innovation and efficiency to build the next generation of automated testing.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and debug (Java, Ruby) test scripts to exercise workloads on hard-disk drives.
  • Work across the full stack, developing new features for our medium-scale test management system (React, Next, MongoDB, NGINX).
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
  • Deploy or release software with release notes and documentation.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
  • Implement technical solutions based on industry best practices and trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years or more of experience developing web applications (e.g. JavaScript, React)
  • Must be proficient in using Git.
  • Familiarity with Linux CLI and bash/shell scripting.
  • Willing to work with different software programming languages concurrently.

We also welcome if you have:

  • Experience in statistical software like JMP, MATLAB, or RStudio.
