Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, Procurement Ops & Procure to Pay at Western Digital, you will be responsible for leading and managing digital projects aimed at transforming and optimizing our procurement processes with a particular focus on procurement and sourcing modules within Oracle and SAP. This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise, procurement knowledge, and digital technology acumen. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge solutions that drive operational excellence in procurement and be a value-added partner to the business to meet procurement needs within the ERP environments to enhance the day-to-day processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Transformation Leadership:

• Lead the development and execution of the procurement digital transformation strategy.
• Collaborate with procurement, IT, and other relevant stakeholders to align digital initiatives with overall business objectives.

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Execute and oversee the implementation of digital projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Supplier Management:

• Collaborate with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to select and implement digital solutions that align with procurement goals.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions.

Data Integration and Analytics:

• Oversee the integration of digital tools with existing procurement systems.
• Utilize data analytics to track and measure the impact of digital initiatives on procurement performance.

Change Management:

• Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of digital tools and processes.
• Provide training and support to procurement teams to enhance digital literacy.

Procure to Pay Process Leader:

• Work with business users and IT to define requirements for enhancements or new functionality; work with team members to design and solution the applications, participate in unit testing, test scripts preparation, coordinate with business users on system integration testing; assist in planning and executing deployment and provide post-implementation support.
• Work with Oracle and/or SAP for system issue troubleshooting and improvement opportunities.
• Document processes and provide training to business users when there is a change or new functionality introduced.
• Participate in all procurement related audits as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5 years working experience in Oracle Cloud or SAP Procurement modules.
• Experience and expertise with ERP tools (Oracle and SAP).
• Experience in project management, specifically in leading digital transformation projects within procurement.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing, and supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies relevant to procurement; e-procurement platforms, AI, and data analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Communicate well in English both in verbal and written form required.
• Foreign language (Chinese) is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
