Job Description

JOB Title: DevOps Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in global support team to implement, support and operate our Global Hybrid Cloud - Big Data Platform Edge environments
• Respond and resolve alerts coming from monitoring tools that monitoring the global infrastructure and the platform applications
• Write scripts to automate routine operational tasks
• Document common work tasks to be added to shared knowledge base
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade cloud platform application
• Work closely with key users to deploy applications and support processes in the Hybrid Cloud infrastructure

REQUIRED: 

• Minimum total experience of 6+ years
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology/Computer Information Systems or relevant working experience in IT field
• 2-3 years experience in Linux systems administration
• Scripting skills; Bash and/or Perl
• Familiar with TCP/IP
• Experience in AWS and/or GCP
• Experience writing automation in Ansible & Terraform
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiar with observability tools as; Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Splunk (or ELK stack), PagerDuty
• Strong troubleshooting skills with an appetite to learn new things is a must.
• Fluency in English

PREFERRED:

• Certification in Kubernetes
• Certification in one of the following Cloud Providers; AWS, GCP, Azure
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Spinnaker
• Software development skills; Python, Java, Go, Node.js, React
• Familiar with data service solutions such as; Elastic, Kafka, Redis, Nifi
• Familiar with Dataiku and ML-Ops

SKILLS:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics.
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Self-starter able to work in a team or individually to complete complex technical tasks
• Able to explore new concepts, idea’s and technologies and formulate understanding and apply to work tasks (e.g. read software product documentation and figure out how to use it with little or no guidance)
