Sr. Director, Product Operations and Strategy

The Sr. Director of Product Operations and Strategy is a key position reporting to the Chief Product Officer with responsibilities for driving the standard operational processes of the broader WellSky solutions team and supporting strategy and planning through cross-BU collaboration, portfolio management, and annual budget planning for resource allocation/investment decisions.

A day in the life!​ 

Operations Responsibilities

This position will ensure best-practice operational processes for the Solutions teams that enhance our key strengths, resources and capabilities, and support our growth objectives. 

The key areas of focus operational focus will include:

• Standardization of processes and tools to best practice such as:
  • Artifact creation/maintenance
  • Business case development
  • Utilization of UX tools (Pendo)
  • Reporting and KPI tracking of product management metrics
  • Product life cycle management
  • Supporting standardization of tools with procurement
• Staff development, communication and training and Innovation
  • Annual Solutions Summit
  • Monthly All Hands Solutions Meetings
  • Solution Leadership bi-weekly meetings
  • Annual Pitch Day (Day of Innovation competition)

Strategy Responsibilities

• The Sr. Director works with other solution teams to build business cases and identify opportunities for R&D investments.  This position will also support annual budget planning and portfolio management processes.
• This person, working with the Chief Product Officer, will identify strategic goals each year for the broader Solution Management organization, articulate operational improvement objectives, develop action plans and track key performance measures.  This person will also be responsible for leading program management of key enterprise strategic initiatives.
• The successful candidate for this role will create collaborative partnerships across solution management, professional services, client relations, support, finance, marketing, pricing, sales teams to ensure business alignment on our key enterprise solution strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

• 10-12 years related work experience.
• 5-6 years people management work experience.
• Looking for a candidate with 7+ years of product management experience, 3+ years performing in a product operations role, strong written and verbal communication skills, and prior personnel management experience.
