Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Software Sr. Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

Job Role and Responsibility: Work with data modeling, coding, analytical modeling, root cause analysis, investigation, debugging, testing and collaboration with the business partners, product managers, architects & engineering teams, adopting and enforcing best practices related to data discovery, data ingestion, and metadata management. Will extract business data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources, utilize data pipeline to ingest data in Enterprise Data Lake (MapR DB HDFS). Work with Data Analyst and Data Scientists and build scripts to meet their data needs for ML Model Development. Develop, deploying or managing data pipelines for supporting data-science-driven decisioning at scale and automate build using Enterprise CI/CD.

Required Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, or related technical field plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.

Specific skills required:

• 5 years of experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
• 5 years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
• 5 years of experience with multiple databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata or DB2 LUW
• 3 years of financial services experience
• 3 years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka or Map
• 2 years of Apache Spark design and development using Scala, Java, Python, or Data Frames with RDD
• 2 years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem tools
• 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following Data Control Tool/Data Control Integration (DCT/DCI), Enterprise Metadata Hub (EMH), Collibra Data Governance.
