Principal Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Observability L3 Area

In this role, you will:

• Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups

  ·         Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  ·         Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

  ·         Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

  ·         Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

  ·         Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to Leadership

  ·         Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  ·         Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  ·         Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  ·         Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  ·         Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  ·         Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

·         10+ Years of experience as a Java Full Stack Developer (UI and Spring boot)

·         5+ years of experience in Pl/SQL Development

·         5+ years of experience in Python with Data analysis, Data Import and Data Feeds

·         3+ years of experience in development, building and deploying microservices and cross channel restful Application Programming Interface (API)

·         3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments

·         3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (Docker, Azure, TKGI (PCF))

·         Experience in ReactJS, Python Frameworks, UML, NoSQL, MongoDB, other relational database management system (RDBMS), Kafka pub/sub model, ETL

Desired Qualifications:

·         Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

·         Prometheus, Open Telemetry, Time Series Metrics, Capacity, Big Data, Machine Learning, or Synthetics monitoring tools experience

·         Experience with BigPanda, ServiceNow, and NetCool

·         Experience with FastAPI and Swagger

·         Deep technical understanding of core concepts, memory management, multi-threading, REST based services, React and Spring/Spring Boot.

·         Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams

·         Experience in one or a combination of the following: Capacity Analytics, time series metrics analysis, Telemetry, Monitoring, Observability

·         Experience of modern software development lifecycle, including TDD, CI/CD, Pairing, Build Automations, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Chaos Engineering

·         Knowledge of Agile methodologies, and product operating model

·         Knowledge and understanding of Data Lake, Big Data is an added advantage

·         Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis

·         Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions development

·         Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces

Job Expectations:

• Should drive multiple L2 products within Observability Space
• Should bring holistic, long term solutions across multiple L2 products on Cloud using latest Tech Stack
• Should influence and drive development from India
