Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer...
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing Production Support & Platform Support under ITIL in challenging production environment of critical banking applications.
- Expected to take complete Accountability & responsibility over deliverables – Application Stability, Automation, Resiliency & Performance Improvement, Process Adherence & Improvement.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others. Deliver effective presentations and speeches.
- Consistently generate creative, resourceful solutions to problems, clarify complex data or situations so that others can comprehend, respond, and contribute.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate/postgraduate with 12+ years of experience.
- ETL- Ab-initio working experience of 8+ year.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical Production support environment.
- Database- Teradata/SQL experience- 6+ years
- Sound knowledge on UNIX/Linux Operating System and scripting skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Scheduler- Autosys experience
- ITIL Knowledge / Certification
- GCP – working experience / certification.
- Working knowledge of Observability tools
- Good knowledge on Hadoop and Big-Data.
Job Expectations:
- Responsible for leading the Application Support Data related applications within the Line of Business.
- Should have extensive experience on Incident/Problem/Service/Release Management with primary technologies such as AbInitio, Autosys, Teradata, Informatica, Oracle (DB), Autosys, etc.
- Troubleshooting complex job failure, Autosys contention due to Server or DB performance, ETL or database failures.
- Responsible for analyzing the failures, provide work around and perform Root Cause Analysis for complex ETL jobs and report the same appropriately.
- Troubleshoot complex incident and provides guidance to less experienced staff. Leads onboarding of new applications to production.
- Develops new documentation, participates in the development of technical procedures, runbook, playbook and guides the team as needed.
- Lead Transformational projects to drive efficiencies, including Cloud migrations / implementations.
- Responsible for applications metrics, analyze and isolate any potential bottlenecks.
- Effectively collaborate with the partners (Developer, DBA and infra), Business in the effective resolution of a given problem and deliver on time.
- Generate and implement innovative solution to bring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Should be efficient in decision making with good Partnership / Stakeholder Management.
- Automation: Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution.
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards.
- Very good understanding of Version Control process and tools.
