About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the ServiceNow Technology space who will design and develop ServiceNow solutions related to Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) for the Corporate Properties Group (CPG). Key responsibilities will include design, developing forms, loading data, developing UI policies and business rules. This will be a ‘fingers to keyboard’ role requiring technical skills. Development will follow the Agile methodology.


In this role, you will:

  • •    Lead the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing features for the ServiceNow implementation, specifically on Workplace Service Delivery
    •    Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables using agreed upon standards and tools.
    •    Develop on the ServiceNow platform utilizing configuration and scripting.
    •    Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on coding standards, processes, tooling and frameworks required for the delivery of features in the sprint or product backlog
    •    Ensure that solutions delivered by self or team members are secure and scalable, comply with defined standards and best practices.
    •    Ensure product backlog has appropriate technical stories and participates in their prioritization
    •    Responsible for application solution quality from design and implementation to deploy and run. Participate in definition and maintenance of software standards.
    •    Responsible for communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the delivery of features
    •    Evaluate technical impacts from and coordinates implementation of new product releases.
    •    Participate in sizing and estimation activities within the agile team
    •    Communicate daily with the Scrum Master, Product Owner and the Agile team on progress made and planned progress for the coming day and reports any impediments that are blocking their progress
    •    Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives; ensuring their ideas for team continuous improvement are communicated so that the overall process and team can improve sprint by sprint and readily receives feedback for self-improvement
    •    Responsible for ensuring the quality of existing and new features through both manual and automated testing and use of continuous Integration techniques
    •    Collaborate & confirm understanding of business requirements relating to features to be delivered and to help define requirements that can be delivered from a technical perspective
    •    Collaborate & ensure designs produced can be translated efficiently into working solutions for feature delivery


Required Qualifications:

  • •    Minimum 12+ years of application development and implementation experience, out of which 10 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
    •    5 + years of ServiceNow experience in building, implementing and maintaining platform technologies, workflows and integrations - ServiceNow Workplace Service Delivery experience will be a huge plus.
    •    Experience in technically leading ServiceNow development and implementations
    •    2+ years of JavaScript development experience
    •    2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
    •    3+ years of Agile experience
    •    2+ years of Java, C++, C#, C or .NET
    •    2+ years of SQL
    •    5+ years SDLC experience
    •    2+ years of Integration design experience
    •    Experience on working with different OS
    •    Knowledge of Scripting (JavaScript, Unix, Python etc)
    •    Understanding on the Data model concepts
    •    Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts
    •    Knowledge of ITIL processes
    •    Advanced problem-solving ability
    •    Change Management, Asset Management and Configuration Management
    •    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    •    Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management
    •    Experience supporting and technically directing teams, as required


Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of common authentication models such as OAuth and mutual authentication
  • Advanced understanding of IT industry frameworks including ITIL, IT4IT, COBIT
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
