- As a platform team, we support the foundational pieces of all product development
- We ensure that proper abstractions are in place for rapid development of existing and future features
- We work closely with backend and frontend teams across Wealthsimple and manage a number of stakeholders
- We make it easy to stitch GraphQL schemas into our GraphQL Gateway
- Communication and enablement is fundamental to our impact
- Deprecation and sunset strategies for evolution of our APIs
We’re looking for someone who will
- Be the people leader for API Platform and have multiple direct reports
- Develop the individuals on your teams to ensure everyone can be challenged, fulfilled, and growing in their career
- Set clear expectations and hold a high bar for quality and team performance
- Create, refine, and deliver on a roadmap for the team and bring best-in-class API design to Wealthsimple
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation across engineering with a focus on APIs, GraphQL, integrations, and future-proof designs
- Make great, informed decisions and influence the rest of the organization to deliver impact
- Build deep context and become a subject matter expert in order to lead with confidence, clarity, and best practices
- Develop a general understanding of the Wealthsimple business and products.

- Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
- The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. - We add new jobs to EchoJobs every day! We scan our sources for the newest jobs, verify them, and post them to EchoJobs within minutes. We add about 2,000-3,000 new jobs for you each day!
- From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
- We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day.
