The Rider App (Waymo One App) team works on the Android & iOS apps used by customers to hail and control our autonomous vehicles. We build complex user experiences, phone-to-vehicle communications, and solve novel human-computer interaction problems in the AV space.
In this role, you'll:
We are looking for an experienced Android developer to join our efforts in building the best AV ride hailing app. You will implement innovative product features using the best practice for an accessible and beautiful user experience. The team works closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers and UX researchers to experiment and iterate towards bringing this technology to people.
At a minimum we’d like you to have experience in two or more of the following:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience building innovative UX designs on the Android platform
- Experience working with growth related features for a fast growing product
- Passion and experience building user-facing products
- Working with product designers and building pixel-perfect UI
- Compelling communication skills
- Experience with Java, Android, Custom Views/XML, User Interfaces
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
