The Information Security team has the herculean task of assuring that customers can safely shop with peace of mind knowing their data and information will be safe and secure. Solving some of the most unique cyber security problems in the industry, our team members share an elevated level of creativity and ingenuity to secure data for one of the largest e-commerce operations in the world.

As a Software Engineer III on the Cryptography team, you will be responsible for providing technical design and development of our data security application systems.

What you'll do:

  • Define secure mechanisms for critical business functions, for both on- premises and in cloud environments.
  • Evaluate the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines to reduce the impact.
  • Using your diverse knowledge base, skills, and expertise to ensure changes are documented clearly and implemented with no impact.
  • Communicate guidelines to all InfoSec stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in Java, Python, or C++
  • Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React, Angular, and jQuery.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting technologies.
  • Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Net, Java, Ruby and Python
  • Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field within the last 7 years OR 5 years’ experience in information technology or risk and vulnerability management area within the last 7 years.



What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in Java, Python, or C++
  • Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React, Angular, and jQuery.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting technologies.
  • Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Net, Java, Ruby and Python
  • Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field within the last 7 years OR 5 years’ experience in information technology or risk and vulnerability management area within the last 7 years.
