What you'll do...

The Sr Data Analyst will provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships, identifying business needs, and carrying out processes and practices.  The role is in Walmart Home-Office and will report to the Senior Manager, Item Catalog.

About Team: 
On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner. What's more, we create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation. With end-to-end inventory management, from replenishment and fulfillment to transportation, we give our drivers and partners the tools they need to get the right items to customers on time and in the right packaging. 

What you'll do:
•    Data Collection and Analysis: 
o    Address business problems by understanding the data source’s location, integrate the data, perform subsequent analysis using SQL, Python and subsequently visualize the findings on a Tableau dashboard.
o    Monitor the dashboard daily and flag any outliers that the data represents.
o    Conduct exploratory analysis and inform team and counterparts of the findings.  
•    Business Partnerships: 
o    Prepare first draft of executive presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to management based on research and data analysis.
o    Review the findings based on the feedback received from partners and provide a insights based on the audience
•    Model Development: 
o    Build and manage parts of algorithmic products/models and ensure segment aligns with overall product goals after verification with the existing tools.
o    Use the existing Walmart tools to verify the findings and run the simulations to test the thesis.
•    Proof of Concept and Prototype: Generate new ideas as an output of research, apply knowledge to come up with new information, and contribute to proof-of-concepts for projects.
•    Collaboration: Collaborate with other associates from the team and work with managers/specialist cross functionally as needed
•    Project Scope: Own small projects end-to-end to support the business area or category, and own a defined part of a product, ensure the product is working and functioning, and identify new information to feed back-up to product owner
•    Technical Skillsets – Python, SQL, GCP, Tableau and Excel


What you'll bring:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance or related field and 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance or related field and 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field
Skills required:
•    Python, SQL, GCP and Tableau expertise
•    Desire to learn Walmart’s item catalog business.
•    Presentation and Verbal communication skills
•    Previous Supply Chain and item catalog experience

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
