What you'll do...

Join our team that enhances and supports our Stores Outbound Processing Systems - our system is used by almost a hundred thousand associates every day to process returned items, donations, disposals and create markdowns.

About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

As a software engineer 3 in our team, you will work with our team 

* Gathering requirements - working closely with our business partners and you will also be contributing with requirements as you learn more about the domain

* Designing, implementing, deploying and supporting the micro-services and mobile apps that powers our Outbound Processing Products.  This also means that you will make sure proper CI/CD pipelines are in-place and you participate in design sessions and code review sessions.

* Making sure we are operationally excellent. Our team has high standards so this means you should love metrics, proper logging, and know how to use cloud configuration frameworks.

* Owning features end-to-end, that's how we do it at Walmart - you drive a feature to completion and support it (better yet, automate the maintenance). 

What you'll bring:

Backend:

• Knowledge of microservices in Java (JDK17+) – with experience designing either RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs - deployment in Kubernetes (so the wcnp onboarding goes quickly) 
• Knowledge of Git – preferably using Github
• Knowledge of common Java IDEs – preferably IntelliJ
• Knowledge of TTD – use of mock for unit tests and contract testing for integration and functional tests.
• Spring boot 2+, Hibernate 5+, Spring Security, Spring integration - Mid to Advance knowledge of SQL (SQL Server is more likely to be the DB we will use – but any other DB knowledge transfers)

Frontend:

• Advance Knowledge of Javascript or Typescript, and ReactJS – state management within React. Preferably within a framework like Gatsby or Next.js).
• Knowledge of React Native.
