Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Fix bugs and improve application performance. Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
Skills required: Experience with software development using programming languages: Kotlin and Java. Experience with architecture patterns: MVP and MVVM. Experience unit-testing code using JUnit, Mockito, Kotlin, and Java to ensure the android software stability. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Experience with code versioning tools: Git and GitHub. Experience fixing bugs and improving Android application performance. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. Experience with Android SDK and mobile development life cycle. Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps project management tools. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $147,481/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
